2: Silent but handsome

Chioma just realized she was smiling. A very handsome guy had been starring and smiling at her for the past 30mins from across the two tables away. He would neither come closer, make a move nor even ask her to come.

Chioma had come to one of the Clubs in Wuse Zone 2, Abuja with her sister and her husband to celebrate their anniversary and it was about looking like a boring night. That was the only guy that has even tried to get her attention. She was fair skinned, a bit chubby, average height and had on, a generously revealing black dress.

She wondered what was going on in his mind, was he shy? Was he with any lady? With the way she was smiling back at him, why didn’t he make a move? He looked really matured with broad shoulders and dressed very well.

She had a thing for guys who knew how to dress well. She looked at him again, their eyes met again and this time it seemed they were the only two people in the club – all the noise and dancing in the club didn’t matter anymore.

Then he moved – really fast

She starred in panic as someone blocked her view, where is he going? When her view was clear after a few minutes, he wasn’t there anymore. She felt disappointed, why did he leave like that? This was worse than rejection she thought. In anger, she headed towards the ladies room to freshen up.

The ladies room seemed empty, infact a little too empty for a crowded club; she could hear no other noise from any of the 6 toilets. She faced the sink and poured some water from the tap with the hands over her face. As she opened her eyes, she saw him through the mirror, behind her.

She felt his light touch on her shoulder and she collapsed in excitement and passed out....
